Friday June 4, 1.30pm to 2.30pm. A defining part of Australia’s steam train history is returning to the Central West after more than a decade.
No other steam engine in Australia has captured the imagination of rail enthusiasts and the public as much as 3801, so this is an exciting opportunity for the Blayney community to see the iconic steam train in town.
The train will pull up at the Blayney Station just after 1:30pm on Friday 4 June from Bathurst with specials guests on board, before departing back to Bathurst at 2:30pm. While stationed in Blayney the general public will have a chance to have a special up-close viewing of the locomotive.
Platform Arts Hub will also be open with a special 3801 operating model steam train exhibition, feature artist display, youth exhibition and history museum.
Entry is $5 for Adults and $3 for Concession.3801 will be on public display at Blayney station 1.40 pm to 2.30 pm on Friday June 4 – however, tickets to travel with 3801 are not available for this event.
