Textures of One- Adult Entry Form

Textures of One is Platform Arts Hub Blayney’s annual small art prize for local artists within 100km radius of Blayney NSW. This year’s theme, ‘Light and Shade’ is open to interpretation through all art mediums

There is a $25 entry fee per artwork, with a limit of two artworks for applicants. Details about how to pay the entry fee are listed at the end of the form

Important dates

Entries close: midnight, Friday 11th Feb 2022

Artists will be notified the outcome of their application: Thursday 24 Feb 2022

Exhibition Dates: 11 March – 1 April 2022

Opening night celebration & Awards announced: Friday, 11 March, 6 – 8pm

Prizes:

The Prizes will be awarded by three independent judges. An artist cannot win more than one prize.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Textures of One 2022 – Terms and Conditions of Entry

  1. Registrations for Textures of One are open from 18/12/2021 – 11/02/22
  2. Registration fee includes entry into the Opening Night on Friday, 11 March, 6 -8pm, including drinks + nibbles.
  3. All entries are to be submitted by midnight, Friday 9 February 2022.
  4. Works that are larger than 70 x 70cm for 2D work, or 40 x 40 x 40cm for 3D work, will not be accepted
  5. Work that does not interpret the theme, ‘Light and Shade’ will not be accepted
  6. Artwork insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor. Platform Arts Hub Blayney will not accept responsibility for artwork theft or damage.
  7. Entries must be original work of the entrant. The work cannot be older than two years and not exhibited at previous exhibitions.
  8. Artworks must be suitably framed and fitted with D-Hooks
  9. The artwork must be totally dry and not be wet.
  10. Set up and display of heavy sculptural items of decorative pieces will be the responsibility of the individual artist in coordination with the curator of the Exhibition.
  11. The committee reserves the right to take photographs of the artwork to use for online media, on our Facebook page, website and related social media. Images of the artwork will be credited to the artist
  12. 20% commission will be deducted from all sales.
  13. The Platform Arts Hub and Textures of One will not be left with the responsibility of storage or delivery of any works left after the collection date.
  14. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Artists must pay the $25 entry fee per artwork, maximum two artworks, for their work to be assessed for selection.
